The Art of Healthy Communities will feature an exhibit of local artists on the theme of health and place from 12 to 7 pm. The exhibit will be open only to Knowledge Exchange participants from 12 to 4 pm, then open to the general public from 4 to 7 pm.
The National Consortium for Creative Placemaking (NCCP) is announcing a Call for Artists for the Creative Placemaking Knowledge Exchange. The National Consortium for Creative Placemaking (NCCP) is seeking visual artists 18+ years old who work in the disciplines of Drawing, Mixed Media, Painting, and Printmaking to display their artwork.
The Art of Healthy Communities Art Exhibition on Friday, November 11, 2016, is an indoor conference and art exhibition celebrating the healing effects of art in communities, creative placemaking, and artists. The Creative Placemaking Knowledge Exchange
at New Jersey Institute of Technology in Newark, New Jersey will come to life with conferences and displays of artwork. The art exhibition is produced by the National Consortium for Creative Placemaking (NCCP) and Curator Stephanie O'Connor.
LOCATION AND SPACE
Each artist will be given a 6 x 6 foot space. Artwork shown must be displayed on easel(s) provided by the artist. No fees apply.
Artists will be selected based on creativity and artistic merit by Curator Stephanie O'Connor. Applicants should electronically submit 5-10 portfolio images indicating artist name, medium, and size, by email to firstname.lastname@example.org by FRIDAY, OCTOBER 14, 2016. All work must be original. Content should be family appropriate. Twenty artists will be selected.
